About Quiz

India assumed the presidency of the Group of Twenty (G20) on 1 December 2022 and will hold the presidency till 30 November 2023. This is a proud moment for all citizens of India as our country is heading the premier forum for international economic cooperation. G20 plays a vital role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance of all major international economic issues. The government of India has initiated various activities as part of the G20 through its Ministries to enable us, the citizens to understand India’s role and contribution to the G20. Ministry of Education has also mooted various activities for students, teachers, parents and all those interested. . This Quiz, Life Style for Environment (LIFE) is one of the activities.

भारत द्वारा 1 दिसंबर 2022 से 30 नवंबर 2023 तक ग्रुप ऑफ़ ट्वेंटी (G20) की अध्यक्षता स्वीकार की गई है। भारत के सभी नागरिकों के लिए यह गर्व का क्षण है क्योंकि हमारा देश अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आर्थिक सहयोग के एक प्रमुख मंच का नेतृत्व कर रहा है। G20 सभी प्रमुख अंतरराष्ट्रीय आर्थिक मुद्दों पर वैश्विक संरचना और अधिशासन निर्धारित करने तथा उसे मजबूत करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। भारत सरकार ने अपने मंत्रालयों के माध्यम से जी20 के एक हिस्से के रूप में विभिन्न गतिविधियाँ प्रारम्भ की हैं ताकि हम सभी नागरिक जी20 में भारत की भूमिका और योगदान को समझ सकें। शिक्षा मंत्रालय द्वारा भी विद्यार्थियों, शिक्षकों, अभिभावकों और इसमें रुचि रखने वाले सभी व्यक्तियों हेतु विभिन्न गतिविधियों की योजना बनाई गई हैं। अन्य गतिविधियों में से एक गतिविधि क्विज़, लाइफ स्टाइल फॉर एनवायरनमेंट (लाइफ)/(पर्यावरण संरक्षण हेतु जीवन शैली) है।

Environment and its conservation is one of the current concerns of the world today. India is committed to protection of our mother earth and sustainable development. Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi stresses for ‘one word movement,’ LI.F.E (Life Style for Environment) as a mass movement of environmental conscious life style for a harmonious life. The quiz on Life Style for Environment (Li.F.E.) aims at enabling young learners like you in school to be conscious of the environment in which we live and the need to protect and sustain for our good and for our future generations to inherit to be passed on to generation after generations.

The main objectives of the quiz competition are to

1. Create an awareness on the importance of protecting our environment and its need for human coexistence;

2. Promote an understanding among citizens about the Millennium Development Goals and sustainable development and their role in an environment friendly life;

3. To learn about India’s initiative on environmental concerns globally and India’s role in the G20 for the protection of our environment.

4. To enable citizens to critically reflect and act on the current environmental situation across the globe and to lead a life for sustainable development

पर्यावरण और इसका संरक्षण आज दुनिया की मौजूदा चिंताओं में से एक है। भारत धरती की सुरक्षा और सतत् विकास के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। भारत के माननीय प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सामंजस्यपूर्ण जीवन हेतु पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक जीवन शैली के जन आंदोलन के रूप में ‘एक शाब्दिक आंदोलन’, L.I.F.E (पर्यावरण संरक्षण हेतु जीवन शैली) पर जोर दिया। पर्यावरण संरक्षण हेतु जीवन शैली (Li.F.E.) पर प्रश्नोत्तरी का उद्देश्य विद्यालयों में आप जैसे युवा शिक्षार्थियों को उस पर्यावरण के प्रति जागरूक करना है जिसमें हम रहते हैं और हमारी भलाई हेतु एवं हमारी आने वाली पीढ़ियों को विरासत में देने के लिए इसकी निरंतर रक्षा एवं संरक्षण की आवश्यकता है।

प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता के निम्नलिखित मुख्य उद्देश्य हैं :

1. पर्यावरण रक्षा के महत्व और मानव सह-अस्तित्व की आवश्यकता के बारे में जागरूक करना;

2. नागरिको के बीच सहस्राब्दी विकास लक्ष्यों और सतत् विकास एवं पर्यावरण के अनुकूल जीवन में उनकी भूमिका से संबंधित समझ विकसित करना;

3. विश्व स्तर पर पर्यावरण संबंधी चिंताओं पर भारत की पहल और पर्यावरण की सुरक्षा के लिए जी20 में भारत की भूमिका के बारे में जानना।

4. नागरिकोको वर्तमान पर्यावरणीय स्थिति पर गंभीर रूप से विचार एवं कार्य करने तथा सतत विकास हेतु जीवन जीने में सक्षम बनाना।

Terms and Conditions

1. The Quiz questions are designed carefully to assess the knowledge and understanding about the life style for environment.
यह प्रश्नोत्तरी पर्यावरण के लिए जीवन शैली से समबन्धित ज्ञान और समझ का आकलन करने हेतु तैयार की गयी है।

2. Each question in the Quiz is in the Multiple Choice Format and has only one correct answer.
इस प्रश्नोत्तरी में प्रत्येक प्रश्न बहुविकल्पीय प्रारूप में है और इसमें केवल एक ही सही उत्तर है।

3. Each Question carries 1 mark. Participants are required to attempt all questions in total.
प्रत्येक प्रश्न 1 अंक का है। प्रतिभागियों को सभी प्रश्नों का प्रयास करना आवश्यक है।

4. The Quiz questions are prepared in both Hindi and English.
प्रश्नोत्तरी के प्रश्न हिंदी और अंग्रेजी माध्यमों में तैयार की गयी हैं। आप उत्तर देने के लिए इनमे से किसी एक माध्यम का चयन कर सकते हैं।

5. You are allowed to attempt the Quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a question. However, you may revise your answer before final submission
आपको केवल एक बार प्रश्नोत्तरी का प्रयास करने की अनुमति है और एक प्रश्न के लिए केवल एक विकल्प स्वीकार किया जाएगा। हालांकि, आप अंतिम सबमिशन/प्रस्तुतीकरण से पहले अपने जवाब को संशोधित कर सकते हैं।

6. After responding to a question, click on the “Next Question” button to go to the next question.
एक प्रश्न का जवाब देने के बाद, अगले प्रश्न पर जाने के लिए “अगला प्रश्न” बटन पर क्लिक करें।

7. No negative marking will be done
कोई नकारात्मक अंकन नहीं किया जाएगा।

8. After attempting questions, a final submission should be clicked. No changes can be made after the final submission.
प्रश्नों का प्रयास करने के बाद, अंतिम प्रस्तुतीकरण /फाइनल सबमिशन पर क्लिक करना होगा। अंतिम सबमिशन/प्रस्तुतीकरण के बाद कोई बदलाव नहीं किया जा सकता है।

9. Certificates will be issued to all the participants.
सभी प्रतिभागियों को प्रमाण पत्र जारी किए जाएंगे।
